The Club of Underwater Activities Pastinaca presented today in the morning the VI edition of the Open Fotosub Lanzarote Mar de Lava, an underwater photography competition sponsored by Promotur Tourism of Canaries and the Cabildo of Lanzarote (island’s council), which will start next Friday 26th June, and will have the participation of 25 teams from the archipelago and from the Iberian peninsula, “one of the great innovations of this edition”.

The president of the islands council called Cabildo de Lanzarote, Mr. Pedro San Ginés, underlined the goodness of “an event that has the unconditional support of the First Island Institution because of all that means this segment, the diving tourism, and all that is going to mean in the future”. On this matter, San Ginés remembered the two great projects where the Cabildo de Lanzarote is immersed to fortify the sector, such as the Diving Centre of Playa Chica, in Puerto del Carmen, “for which there is a sum of half million of Euros”, and the Atlantic Museum, which “will project the seabed of the island internationally”. The president of the Cabildo finished his intervention thanking the roll of Pastinaca “on the focus of the marine platform of the island, from the Archipelago Chinijo until La Bocaina”.
